Hatha Yoga Sequence
A Warrior's Prayer
I am what I am.
In having faith in the beauty within me, I develop trust.
In softness I have strength.
In silence I walk the higher realms.
In peace I understand myself and the world.
In conflict I stay calm, cool, collected.
In detachment I am free.
In respecting all living things, I respect myself.
In dedication I honour the courage within me.
In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things.
In love I unconditionally accept the evolutoin of others.
In freedom I have power.
In my individuality, I express the God-Force within me.
In servce I give of what I have become.
I am what I am:
Eternal, immortal, universal, and infiinite.

Begin in easy pose, feeling your sitz bones connecting with the earth, the lift and openness of your heart center and crown reaching towards the sky. Rest your awareness on the outbreath. When your mind wanders, gently invite your attention back to the exhale and allow this seated meditation to be your practice for the following five minutes or longer if you choose. When you are ready, slowly open your eyes and mindfully transition.
As you transition through the poses, notice how you move from one to another, remaining in each pose for 5-8 breaths. When you are in the pose, bring your awareness to the fluidity of your breathing, balancing the inbreath and the outbreath, noticing any amount of space in between.
When you are ready for shavasana, the final pose, a time to rest and integrate, remember the meditation practice from the beginning of this practice, gently resting your awareness on the outbreath. After 10 breaths, remain in shavasana for 5 minutes.
Props: 2 blankets, blocks optional for the wide angle forward bend and a timer for meditation and shavasana.
Option to repeat the standing sequence 3 times on each side, holding each pose a few breaths longer each time.
May you be happy, healthy, safe and feel at ease.
